I have always been a safe driver. I make sure that I avoid driving on highways during the night. I also make sure that I am within the speed limit and always driving in one single lane. However, how much ever we take care, we can never control the vehicle coming from front or driving behind us.
Two months back I was driving to one of my friend’s place. He stays in the neighboring town so I had no option but to take the highway in the night. He had an urgent work so there was no way of refusing his request. One my way, I stopped at a gas station. As I was waiting in the line, a car came from behind and banged into the rare end of my car. The impact was not huge. There was no damage done to either of the vehicles. The driver of the car apologized and I simply accepted it as I did not want to make an issue out of the whole situation.
However, next day I started complaining of shoulder pain and pain in the neck. I visited my doctor and he told me that the low impact has lead to a whiplash injury. He told me that I was very fortunate not to suffer from major whiplash injury as the impact of the accident was very low. I immediately called up my insurance agent to know about my injury claims. He told me that the injury falls under the Car Accident Claims policy which I already had.
I claimed for the compensation and I did finally get my compensation for whiplash.
